The Boudoir/Nude Photo Shoot Process

I have put together this short blog to help introduce my clients to what they can expect at their artistic nude/glamour/boudoir nude photo shoot. Many people feel a little nervous at the prospect. It is natural to be a bit shy, and I fully appreciate your feelings! Remember that although it is a new experience for you, I have shot hundreds of nude women and men. You will be in a completely professional environment and treated with the utmost respect. And you’ll be surprised at how fast the “butterflies” disappear once we start shooting and you see the artistic images we are creating.

First, you are always welcome to bring someone with you to the shoot. When you arrive I will show you samples of my work, the studio facilities, and introduce you to your makeup artist if you have elected to use one. We normally sit together and go over the different images that you would like to have, and any last minute ideas for poses.

Then it is time for makeup. While you are doing your makeup or having it applied for you, I will be finalizing the studio setup. I will check on the makeup process and give any input on what might work best with the lighting I will be using. Makeup takes about 30 minutes.

Now it is time to take a test shot. Normally you will go to the restroom and change into the robe that will be waiting for you. After the test shots we are ready to begin.

When we complete a series of shots you will put your robe back on and we will review the images on the computer in the studio. If there are things we want to change, we will make corrections to the poses and shoot them again. If we are happy with the images, you will go back into the dressing/makeup area and change your outfit or just relax while I change the set. Then we start all over on the second “look”, or series of shots. By this time I guarantee you will be perfectly comfortable with your photographic experience!

When we are finished and you are getting dressed, I back up the images onto an archive CD and we may even go over a few shots to see how they will look on post production. That’s about all there is to it.

We will have fun, get beautiful images, and enjoy the shoot!

IT’S NOT just another nude calendar…it’s a Marks and Spencer nude calendar.

Staff at an Edinburgh branch of the chain are the latest group to get their clothes off for charity.

Fourteen employees working at the food hall in the Gyle store decided to try and raise £20,000 for breast cancer when one of the staff’s daughters found a lump after giving birth.

Although they knew they wanted to raise the money, it took them a while to settle on the idea of a nude calendar.

“A bit nervous”

Janet Moor has been a sales advisor at the store for seven years and is one of the models in the saucy calendar.

She said: “We were all a bit nervous with the idea at first, but now that we have seen the finished calendar I think everyone is really pleased.

“Everyone wanted to help out. We were delighted to get the men involved as we thought it was worth highlighting that men get breast cancer too.

“It was a bit awkward when we were doing the picture for Christmas though, as that includes everyone – men and women – and that was a bit worrying for everyone, but once we got started it was fine.”

Tasteful

The calendars have already hit the shelves of the store and are proving very popular, with £4,000 raised so far.

The snaps were taken over three Sunday nights at the store and feature staff members tastefully hidden behind flowers, umbrellas and other items that are sold in the store.

It is hoped that they can imitate the success of the Women’s Institute nude calendar that captured the nation’s attention in 2000.

Store manager Sarah Blackburn said: “I’m extremely proud of the hard work and dedication that has gone into making this calendar.

“Staff thoroughly enjoyed working together to produce pictures that were taken.

“I hope that we can recreate the success of the Women’s Institute version and raise a phenomenal amount for people affected by breast cancer in Edinburgh and Lothians.”

“Fantastic”

The main aim behind the calendar is raise the awareness of breast cancer and to encourage both men and women to regularly check their breast for any changes or abnormalities.

Mary Tait, health promotion facilitator for breast screening at Ardmillan House, added: “M&S staff at the Gyle store have done an absolutely fantastic job of organising this project, from co-ordinating the photography to sourcing a printer for the calendar, they have put so much hard work into it.

“It’s so important for women, as well as men, to be breast aware.

“The earlier breast cancer is found, the better the chance of beating it – so it’s vital that people make regular checks of their breasts and attend for breast screening when invited.”

The calendars can be bought at the Gyle branch of Marks and Spencer for £5 each and all money raised is going towards the Elaine Darling Breast Cancer Fund and South East Scotland Breast Screening Centre at Ardmillan House in Edinburgh.

Ardmillan House is NHS Lothian’s dedicated breast screening centre.

The largest average breast size in England comes from Liverpool

In England, the women of the city of Liverpool seems to have the largest averag breast size. This is according to a research done by a renowned British research centre. In Liverpool the average cupsize of a women is 34E.

In the southwest of England, Bristol, the average is a bit lower with 34C. In Southampton the women almost consider themselves flat: with not more than 34B.

The research indicates that women from the north need bigger bras. Women living in the south of London (34D) seem to be the exception of this rule. The capital is situated on the fifth place, and the rest looks like:

2. Newcastle 34DD
3. Manchester 36D
4. Leeds 36D
5. London 34D

Attorney says Playgirl shoot next up for teenage father of Sarah Palin’s grandson

AP/Rachel D’Oro—Levi Johnston is going for the ultimate exposure — the 19-year-old father of Sarah Palin’s grandchild will pose nude for Playgirl, his attorney said Wednesday.
To get ready for his close-up, Johnston is training three hours a day, six nights a week at an Anchorage gym with a local body builder.
A formal agreement hasn’t been reached with the online magazine, but the photo shoot is a “foregone conclusion,” said Johnston’s attorney, Rex Butler.
Johnston fathered a son with Bristol, the 18-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin, the former Republican vice presidential candidate who resigned as Alaska’s governor in July.
Publication of the photographs could be a source of embarrassment for Palin, often mentioned as a possible 2012 presidential candidate. Her memoir, “Going Rogue,” will be published next month and pre-sales already have made it a national best seller.
